Commerce
that works smarter.

I’m Kuldeep Shetty — an e-commerce and marketplace operator with 6+ years building a multichannel business at matabooks. I connect product data, storefronts, marketplaces and performance marketing to make commerce work as one system.

01

Make the book discoverable

Prepare the bibliographic product information, including VLB metadata, and align it with the Amazon catalogue.

02

Establish the brand

Support brand governance and Brand Registry requirements so the catalogue, brand identity and storefront connect.

03

Build the product page

Write search-aware titles and bullets, enrich the detail page with A+ content, and produce clear, useful product imagery.

04

Structure the range

Use parent-child variations only where products genuinely qualify. For limited editions and seasonal books, make related editions easy to compare and review feedback in context.

05

Give the brand a home

Create a Brand Store page that brings product lines, seasonal stories and campaigns together.

06

Advertise and learn

Run Amazon Sponsored Products, Sponsored Brands and Sponsored Display; use Google Performance Max where it fits. Test content and campaign changes with A/B experiments.

Marketplace eligibility, variation rules and available tests depend on category, account and current Amazon requirements.

03 / Best practice

What six years
of doing taught me.

Principles I return to when deciding what to fix first, what to test, and how to grow without losing sight of the basics.

OBSERVE↗PRIORITISE↘TEST↙LEARN↖

MAKE THE SIGNAL CLEAR. CHANGE ONE THING. KEEP THE LEARNING.

01

Start with the product data.

Clean catalogue structure and accurate attributes make every downstream channel easier to manage.

02

Write for people and search.

Titles, bullets, images and A+ content should answer real shopper questions as well as support discovery.

03

Make the economics visible.

Set advertising targets from margin, fees and fulfilment costs. A low CPC or ACoS is not useful if the traffic does not convert profitably.

04

Test one meaningful change.

Use A/B tests and analytics to understand what changed. Keep the learning, not just the winning variant.

05

Connect systems end to end.

Check product, stock, price and order data across shop, middleware, ERP and marketplace to prevent avoidable errors.

06

Use AI with a human check.

Automation speeds up research and drafting; a person still checks accuracy, brand voice and marketplace compliance.
